Delta Air Lines has a specialized luggage counter within the baggage claim area. you may send a Property Loss Form to you (also known as Delta form.) You must also submit a formal claim to the airline within seven days. Even if you have a Delta form, it does not mean the airline will accept your claim. If the airline takes your claim, they may pay for your luggage repair or give replacement luggage.

Step 5: Include your signature and date

This section includes a blank space for your signature and the date you file the complaint. Note that if you represent someone else in filing the complaint, you are not authorized to sign for who you represent.

Note that The delta form must be filed with Delta Airlines within 45 days after the date of loss to be valid under relevant tariff restrictions. Under federal statutes, the United States Postal Service has investigation authority over false or fraudulent claims sent through the mail. Delta Airlines may submit any such allegations to the Postal Service of the United States. Federal statutes cover losses of baggage or goods from such baggage in interstate shipments, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation will look into them.
